NewsJuly 2011 The heat of summer is definitely here, but we are still going to focus on this upcoming fall season and the always impending Christmas! Each month we will have a small project in the spotlight for Christmas. Some will be gifts, and others will be decorative in nature.
This month, we have the Garden Collection Snowflakes, and also knitted Christmas Ornaments (from sock yarn). For the gift project, it is the Cocoon Scarf patterns, and the Cocoon Yarn is on special. I was able to get most of the variegated colors in stock, and the yarn will be on special this month only. This yarn will be sold on a "first come - first serve" basis! We currently have all sets of the Addi Clicks in stock! Get them while they last! They have been very hard to keep in stock. Join us for our Spin-In on the last Friday of the month. Last month we worked on spinning a self-striping yarn. We should see the end results at the next session!
We are also planning on having EZ movie weekends. Join us on Friday evenings or on Saturdays to take part in watching and/or doing a project with Elizabeth! We'll pop some corn, and BYOB (bring your own beverage).
Last but not least... the website is getting updated. I'm in the process of getting this "thing" done! - It's an arduous task.
I'm sure I'm forgetting something, as I always do. For now, it will have to do. We hope to see you soon! -- Linda |
Yarn
So much yarn, so little time! Marina and Tundra yarns are here from Universal. What fun yarns! You can definitely make a scarf in a day. There are several other beauties coming this way from the company that will make some fun projects! They have some fun and funky yarns coming out, but they also have some really wonderful new items, including Flora and Poems CHUNKY! Also, Garden will be available in cones!
We now carry the Heritage yarns from Cascade. What a delight these are! The yarn knits beautifully and has remarkable stitch definition, and it's are soft, soft, soft! The hand-paint colors are delectable.
Another great addition to the shop are Yarn Flowers from Sweater Kits. This company has always provided us with some beautiful knitting yarns, and this new addition will be intriguing. I can't wait for this one to arrive! |
