General Information

We have put considerable effort into planning a variety of classes to satisfy all levels of students. We hope to make your fiber arts experience a good one!

ALL classes will be held at the Tail Spinner. Free parking is available on Wilmington Street and in the public parking lot in front of the Fire Station. Please be sure not to park in the way of the Emergency Vehicles.

Classes start promptly, so please be on time.

Class hours are scheduled for the maximum number of students. If the class is not a full class, it may be dismissed a bit earlier.

NO CELL PHONES IN THE CLASSROOM. Cell phones are disruptive to our instructors and to other students. Please leave your cell phones at home or in your car or turn them off!

Deposits (if required for a class) are non-refundable, and must be made to secure your spot. — If the class is canceled for any reason, we will refund your deposit.

Classes may be postponed and rescheduled due to weather conditions. If you cancel for any reason, your deposit will be refundable ONLY if your spot can be filled. If your spot cannot be filled, or if you run into scheduling conflicts once the class has started, your deposit will not be refunded.

Most class materials are discounted if you purchase them at the Tail Spinner.

Unless otherwise indicated, basic Knitting and Crochet classes are at NO COST to you IF you purchase your yarns and needles at the Tail Spinner. Otherwise, there is a charge of $10 per hour per student.

Please ask for the materials list and pre-class assignment when you reserve your spot for a class, if it is not indicated in this catalog.

Students should wear old clothes to classes. Clothing may get dirty or (in the case of dyeing) discolored.

NOTE: You may see “KH2” under pre-requisites. This means “Know How To.”

Classes on Demand

Everyone learns at different intervals, and we all have different interests.  Therefore, I have put together different curriculums for you to choose from.   These classes are designed for your schedule and to do at YOUR own pace.  Please call or visit the shop to arrange for instructions.

Private instruction also available.
Fee is $10.00 per hour.
If you purchase your needles & yarns at the shop, I will help you with your projects at no charge.

NEED A PLACE TO STAY?

If you are visiting from out of town, we have some wonderful accommodations in Richlands.  Please visit the website for the Sara Margaret Inn Bed & Breakfast!  This is an elegant place, and the price is right! -- It is worth the visit just to come and stay at this Bed & Breakfast!
