Coming Soon!

More New Yarns are coming!  I am preparing to put in for the first order of Classic Elite yarns!  This company is well known for their beautiful yarns.

I am also working with JCA Distributors to begin stocking yarns from some of their companies, such as, Artful Yarns and Reynolds.

For the Spinners, watch for the arrival of the hand painted soy silk for spinning!

Yarns - Yarns - Yarns

Just a review of what's come into the store lately:

Berroco -- Bling Bling, Tutu, Zodiac, and Gem arrived for the Summer, along with their four new pattern books.  There is a good stock of the fur yarns, i.e. Zoom, Zap, Sizzle Bright, Tassle Fx, in all colors.  Also, the summer colors in Suede are gorgeous.

Cascade -- The new Rio yarn, along with Pima Silk, Fixation, Pearls, Cherub, Lapin, Egeo and others are on the shelf for your selection.  --  Also, have you seen the Alpaca Bears?  I have them in the shop!!!  They are toooo cute!

Crystal Palace -- Deco Stardust Ribbon and Fizz Stardust twinkle across the room.  But don't miss the Party Ribbon, Little Flowers, Fling and others that are available!

Fiesta Yarns -- These luscious hand painted yarns are to "dye" for!  Each of the colorways are absolutely beautiful.  I just completed a one-skein scarf/shawl from LaBoheme and will be placing it on the website as a free pattern.

Judi & Company -- The Rafia has arrived for those cute summer hats and accessories.

Mango Moon -- The recycled silk yarn has been flying off the shelf, along with the kits.  More is being ordered to restock the shelves.  The "Woolie" yarn is also great for felting.  It is a little fuzzy after it has been fulled; however, the colors seem to melt together for a beautiful effect.

PT Yarns, distributor of Opal yarns, has two new lines -- Rodeo and Prisma!  These are in stock and ready for you to create some fantastic items.  If you haven't seen some of the new ideas for using Opal Yarn, visit PT Yarns and take a look.  There is an adorable baby sweater set done in their "Elements" yarn that will knock your socks off!  You can also see previews of the new Opal yarns that will be coming out between now and the fall season.

Ashford Tekapo -- More colors have arrived!  This yarn works great for the Martha Poncho!

All customers need to be aware of the availability of yarns these days.  With the huge success in the knitting industry, yarns are not always readily available; and if they are shipped from overseas, it may take 2-3 months to get a particular yarn in stock.  I can always call the distributor to get information on any yarn, and I can also work with you to find compatible yarns for any project.  --  Just give me a call or send me an e-mail, and I will help you with your needs.

Books & Videos

Many new arrivals are on the shelf from Interweave Press covering everything from knitting to crochet, spinning to weaving, felting and dyeing techniques, and beading.  I'm sure you will find something of interest.  The new "Yarns to Dye For" shows you how to dye your wool to make self-patterning yarns!  Lily Chin's Knitting and Crochet with Beads has some terrific looking patterns, I continue to carry "Spin Off" and "Handwoven" magazines in the shop, and back issues are also available.

Ashford Products

As always, Ashford is continually coming up with new and wonderful items.  Foxglove Fiberarts Supply (the USA distributor) is ensuring we have the latest and greatest available.  The new Elizabeth II is now available, and I can happily say this wheel is an absolute delight.  From the first moment you sit down to this wheel, it spins like a dream.

Tekapo yarn now comes in four beautiful variegated color blends.  Not only does Tekapo knit or crochet into a wonderful project, but it also works great for those felting projects.  I recently tried it with the Fiber Trends ballerina slippers, purses, and hats; and it worked great for these projects.

The new Ashford Felting kits and felting items are now available.  I have a couple of kits on hand, and they are really nice.  Also, Ashford wheels are now being done with a natural, lacquered, or antique finish.  They also have three new drop spindles to offer.  Small top whorl, large top whorl, and the classic.

Needles, Hooks, and Tools

The Denise Needles are here!  These sets are wonderful, and they are getting great reviews from the customers who have them!

Bryson Distributing continues to expand the products they offer, to include: Clover Takumi Bamboo Needles and accessories, Brittany Needles, patterns from various sources, and a myriad of other items.  Bryson carries a wide variety of needle art products, so I should be able to get virtually any gadget you may need.

Kromski Wheels and Loom

The newest member of the Kromski Family, "The Prelude", has recently arrived.  The Prelude is just the wheel for beginners or perhaps a second Kromski wheel for others. It has the look of an antique wheel and the high degree of wood turning that the Kromski's are famous for, but it also has all the touches modern spinners expect.

For those weavers that do not want to hold their Harp in the traditional manner (back end propped against a table edge) the Kromski now have a beautiful floor stand. All the pieces have been turned so there is shape and contours to everything, making for a striking piece of woodworking. And note some of the features: your warping pegs (these come with the loom) can be used as ledges on either side of the loom to hold shuttles, hold yarn or to keep other supplies handy. The remaining peg can be conveniently stored at the back of the loom. Use the stand for weaving, yes, but also for warping, and for storage (your Harp can be folded on the stand so it takes up less space).
