The eco-friendly yarns presented on this page are nature's own. These organic, natural fiber yarns are easy to knit with and wear beautifully. Natural fibers breath, which gives you a better feeling garment. Please review the yarns, and I hope you discover something new. There are yarns from the fascinating new banana silk fiber; extremely colorful recycled sari silk; durable hemp, linen & nettle; multi-sized, soft cottons; gorgeous silk; Himalayan goat wool; and wool & silk combinations. These yarns are great for the knitters, crocheters, dyers, and weavers! Most are handspun and imported from Nepal.

This beautiful handspun yarn is suitable for dyeing or use it in its natural state. This yarn has the beauty and luster of silk, but the natural fiber actually comes from a "banana" palm tree, which is a non-fruit bearing palm (musa textilus) that is commonly known as manilla hemp or abaca.
This yarn knits up very quickly on larger needles and is very soft, with a gorgeous drape, and good breathability (being a natural fiber yarn). There is approximately 100 grams per skein and approximately 37meters. This yarn is 100% banana palm fiber.
Hand wash gently in warm water. Do not scrub or wring out the yarn. Squeeze gently to remove excess water (or wrap a towel around your piece) and lay flat to dry.
Banana Silk &
WoolThe same yarn as above; however, this one is one ply banana silk and one ply of pure Himalayan goat wool. Both plies have been handspun and gently plied together to create this beautiful and soft yarn.
