Sonata
-- Portable Wheel from Kromski
Single
drive
Orifice height: 30" but adjustable so that it can be several inches higher.
Wheel diameter: 19"
Elastic drive band.
The front and rear maidens use a "plastic" bearing.
Wheel rotates on ball bearings.
Ratios: 6.7, 12.5 and 14 to 1 using a standard Sonata flyer
Two other flyers will also be available for the Sonata; just the flyer is needed
( and front maiden for Jumbo), not a different head.
Larger and slower: ratios to be announced in a few weeks. Orifice:
18mm/ .70 inches. New bobbin for this size; 4" in diameter.
Faster flyer: ratios to be announced, but high end will be 18:1 - using regular
bobbin

Folded dimensions:
22"x19"
Weight: 11.5lbs. Sits very firmly on the floor; has cushioned feet.
Includes 3 bobbins (and on this wheel only, the bobbin bushings will
be nylon) and threading hook. This wheel arrives assembled, but
folded; because it is easy to assemble no video will be included.
Optional padded bag (see picture): this is a very nice bag with heavy
duty padding all around. The base has a padded platform that the
folded wheel rides on so no amount of dropping is going to hurt the
wheel. Big outside pocket will hold lots of stuff. Shoulder strap
and hand grab strap. Durable material. Green with tan trim. If
ordered with the wheel the wheel and bag will be in one box saving
shipping costs. If you want to give us input on whether the bag
should have backpack straps, please send an e-mail.
Architecture: As with other Kromski wheels, lots of turns and
interesting wood features. As much as any folding wheel can have
"old time" looks, the Sonata has it.

Clear finish. However, first shipment will include 25% of the
wheels in walnut. This will be a one time offering with a slightly
higher price. I can not make any promise that this color will ever appear again.
Prices:
Sonata, clear finish: $460 retail
Sonata, walnut finish: $480 retail
Sonata Bag $120 retail
